At exactly midnight of the due date, I received the following response from the Board agreeing to the special membership meetings. HOWEVER, there were a few technical issues that needs to be negotiated before the meetings can proceed and I will respond to the Board. So this is not a "VICTORY" yet but we may be getting somewhere. Please stay tuned.

CONGRATULATIONS!! We achieved the minimum 90 signatories - 92 total - from "eligible voting members" on July 23rd. Thank you all for doing your part to make this historic moment happen.

This email with the petition, appendices, and personal details on each signatories were sent to RID via email on July 24th with a copy via certified mail (tracking #9589-0710-5270-1759-4331-39). The personal details provided by the signatories were omitted from this public online packet for their privacy but was included as an attachment in the copies sent to RID.

HOWEVER, please do continue to sign the petition to ensure we have plenty of signatures if necessary to overcome any objections or pushback from RID. I will no longer publish the names of the signatories but will keep the tally updated.

I will continue to be transparent. Please stay tuned.

What Am I Signing???
1. RID has many huge issues at the Board level that threatens the organization's very existence. RID has not responded to members' questions with concrete information or timelines since May 2025.

2. This petition forces the board to do the following things:
a. Call for two special membership meetings where members can debate how to resolve this.
b. Pick a neutral person to run the meeting.
c. Follow a specific agenda so we don't go off-topic.
d. Provide the missing information (some for years!) to us all via email before the meetings.

3. The letter is long and fancy because it's written to follow the California law and our own rules (Bylaws, Policy & Procedure Manual (PPM), and Robert's Rules of Order (RRO)).

4. Basically, this petition simply asks the Board for two meetings with instructions related to those two meetings. That's it.

Technical Questions:
- Is it 5% or 10%? 5%
- Do we count 5% just from the members who are dual members? Yes.
- So that is much less than the 14,000 members RID has? Yep.
- How many is that? Only RID has the answer. According to their own internal reports, they don't know and haven't known for years.
- But RID has never counted dual members this way! Their mistake.
- So how do we know how many we need? We make a reasonable estimate that RID has to accept, unless they can prove a higher number. I did the math and came up with 90 votes.
- I've already signed. Do I need to do it again? Yes, you need to show you agree to the revised petition. This protects the integrity of the voter count.
- When I sign the petition, what will you share? Only your full name on this website and the full details to RID when submitted petition.
